Prayer for North Caucasus Bible Institute

• For the students of NCBI, for their spiritual as well as academic growth. Our prayer is that each student of NCBI will grow into a man or woman of God, whom understand God's calling for their lives and is committed to living accordingly. Ask the Lord to make them a blessing for their churches as well as for the wider community.
• For the pastors of Southern Russia. Along with many growing churches, there are still those that live with a "fortress mentality" and are suspicious to everything that is different from "what has always been done." Among other things, this includes theological education and new opportunities for mission.
• Praise for the successful launch of two new programs in the Fall of 2011. The programs are Christian Counseling and Digital Media for Evangelism. We see them as relevant and meeting the needs of local churches in the region.
• For implementation of the mission strategy of Evangelical-Baptist churches in Southern Russia. The strategy has been developed by the faculty and staff of NCBI and will be presented at the local congress of Baptist pastors in May 2011. Its implementation will unite missionary efforts of individual churches in reaching out to local peoples and to prepare a new generation of local, cross-cultural missionaries. • For peace and order in the seven republics of the North Caucasus region. In the last several years, Islamic extremists have become very active in terrorism and violent attacks on local powers. They press for a single Islamic North Caucasus state. Pray that Islamic plans may be thwarted and the whole region experience peace, progress and religious freedom.
